Linguistic, Cultural and Social Integration
An integrated 160-hour hybrid pathway empowering foreign nationals to live, work, and interact autonomously.

PILCS is an integrated, hybrid programme providing linguistic, cultural, social, and vocational training for foreign nationals living and working in Romania. Through practical activities, simulations, and authentic tasks, it develops vital communication skills for everyday life, community access, professional activity, and safety management.
Structured around real-life scenarios rather than isolated grammar drills to maximize everyday functional usability.
Understand social norms, public conduct, and formal versus informal contexts to navigate Romanian society smoothly.
Equips participants with workplace Romanian—from following safety instructions to communicating with supervisors.
Developing the ability to use Romanian in practical, everyday situations:
A balanced curriculum aligned with CEFR principles from A0 through consolidated A1/A1+ toward A2.
Learn to report malfunctions, clarify instructions, request assistance, and communicate effectively in emergency or hazardous situations.
160 total hours covering transport, healthcare, housing, shopping, and everyday tasks, followed by 4 final hours dedicated to consolidation and a flexible conclusion.
Designed to eliminate permanent dependency on translators, colleagues, or intermediaries in routine situations.
Combines in-person classroom teaching, synchronous online sessions, digital exercises, audio/video materials, voice messages, and real-world task building into a continuous portfolio.
Without imposing a cultural identity or asking participants to relinquish their own, PILCS fosters mutual respect and smooth community integration.
Special emphasis on workplace autonomy and quick response in critical or hazardous situations.
Understand and use common expressions in routine social and professional contexts.
Participate in simple conversations, ask for assistance, and express daily needs or problems.
Read basic signs, forms, and instructions while writing short messages and filling out common documents.
Navigate cities, public transit, healthcare systems, and housing communications autonomously.
Behave appropriately according to local cultural norms while preserving individual personal identity.
Briefly describe experiences, events, activities, and future plans while completing the transition from A1/A1+ toward A2.
